New NZ Non-Fiction
For some time now we have been stocking a range of small local history books — usually independently published, and with limited print runs and small distribution networks.
Partly this is because we discovered for ourselves exactly how hard it can be to get a book displayed and distributed in some of the larger stores, when we published our own local history Terawhiti, about the Terawhiti farming station on Wellington's south coast.
Also, having been in the business for so long, we've made friends and business contacts with many talented local historians who needed an outlet for their books.
And lastly we're all local history junkies ourselves, and there have been a mass of fabulous publications coming out in the last few years.
Here's a small selection... a more complete listing will be coming soon.
Or you can check out our catalogue of current stock (updated weekly).
Linked listings can be requested or enquired about through the attatched order form.
Otherwise, titles not yet individually listed on linked pages, or titles listed as being currently Out of Stock (as we may have second hand copies on hand) can be enquired about through our general Query Page.
Tip - Use the Control + F, find function if you are searching for something in particular.
