There is edge-wear and rubbing to the boards. Areas to both boards where the marbled paper is missing. Hinges are split but binding is tight. Page edges and e/p's are also marbled. Previous owner name inside. Preface by the author. 499pp with text in 2 columns. Some scattered foxing. We have other titles in a matching binding. All are published by Chapman and Hall between 1850 and 1857 except Dombey and Son which is published by Bradbury and Evans in 1858.
