In his fourth walking book, the author returns to the country of his ancestors to experience the countryside, the music and the legends of the west coast of Ireland. This work covers the counties of Cork, Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal. Within each section, there are four or five walks, which include wanderings around ancient sites and scrambles up mountains. The book also contains history, folklore and poetry.
