Harry Phillips, photographer, printer and publisher, produced at least 80 photographic books in the period 1909-1944. principally of Sydney and the Blue Mountains. He was a friend of 'loner' Frank Hurley, who shared his fascination with clouds; a promoter of genius, who advanced a score of ideas since realised with great success, such as the Scenic Railway at Katoomba; and a publicist of such energy and persistence that his books were circulated around the globe.
