This is one of the "Centennial Surveys", published in 1939-40 to commemorate the anniversary of the signing in 1840 of the Treaty of Waitangi. It was issued in this revised edition in 1962. It includes a postcript which "surveys the position of New Zealand women during the last twenty years and a number of new illustrations selected by the author".
