With instructions for their collection and hints on their cultivation. 132pp with frontispiece and 4 double plates at rear all in nice condition. Brown cloth has gilt lettering on front and spine but is mottled with bleach spots. Cloth is slightly edge worn on corners etc and top of spine is slightly split (one 5mm tear). Original dark brown endpaper's are in pristine condition and internal pages are clean and largely unfoxed bar pencil notations throughout of where the ferns have been found and some age discolouration of page edges. Binding is tight and study.
