Bradbury & Evans, London, 1858. With a frontispiece By H.K. Browne. Marbled boards with green leather spine and corners. 5 raised bands on spine which is heavily gilted. There is edge-wear to the boards. Internal hinges have been repaired and binding is now tight. Text block is uneven. Page edges and e/p's are also marbled. Previous owner name inside. Preface by the author. 524pp with text in 2 columns. Some scattered foxing. We have other titles in a matching binding but all are published by Chapman and Hall between 1850 and 1857.
