Chapman and Hall, London, 1857. With a frontispiece from a drawing By Frank Stone. Marbled boards with green leather spine and corners. 5 raised bands on spine which is heavily gilted. There is edge-wear and rubbing to the boards. Internal hinges have been repaired and binding is now tight. Text block is uneven. Page edges and e/p's are also marbled. Previous owner name inside. Preface by the author. 496pp with text in 2 columns. Some scattered foxing. We have other titles in a matching binding. All are published by Chapman and Hall between 1850 and 1857 except Dombey and Son which is published by Bradbury and Evans in 1858.
