The pest plants featured represent those that are most likely (in innocence) to be considered useful or attractive in a garden setting. Most declared pest plants can be replaced with similar but more environmentally friendly alternatives.

The aim of this information is to give home gardeners, landscapers and nursery/garden centre staff suggestions as to alternative native and exotic plants that can be used in the warm 'Northern Climate Zone'.
