Title:
Karagoz - Its History, Its Characters, Its Mystical and Satirical Spirit
Siyavusgil, Sabri Esat
$95.00

The Turkish Press, Istanbul, 1961. Green cloth with gilt titles on front and spine. Suspect this was privately bound as original card covers are bound in. Signed on title page by Hayali Kucuk Ali - the last of the great puppeteers. Previous owner's name also on title page. Contents are tightly bound but there is age-discolouration of pages and some scattered foxing throughout. 39pp with plates at rear showing screen ornaments and characters. Nice copy.
