The eagerness to remain in fashion inevitably evokes the stubborn and insoluble question: In the art of enticing the customer, which is paramount, the product or its setting? The ideal, of course, is that each in succession, the setting first, the product afterward, should add to the attraction and not interfere with each other. The shops presented in this work offer a panorama of settings whose brightly-colored fantasy reflects the manners and morals of our time.
