From the River to the Hills - Campbelltown 150 Years

This is a history of a fascinating corner of Adelaide, lying between the River Torrens and the Mt Lofty Ranges. Historically a market garden area it was one of the first areas of Adelaide to develop. It was settled initially by British and German settlers around 1850. A large Italian group arrived in the area during the Depression of the 1920s, and flooded in after WW2. All gave their energies to this most fruitful earth. Illustrated with Black and White Photographs. Signed by the Mayor.
