This book is designed to teach visual arts students how to look, read, write and think about art critically. Can be used at curriculum levels 7 and 8 (levels 2 and 3 of NCEA) in particular, by students of: Art history, Design, Graphics, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Visual art (not a field on its own at levels 2 and 3). In all of these subjects, students are asked to reflect on, respond to, and evaluate art work - their own and others. This book shows them how.
