Between The Lines focuses on the 100 years of New Zealand history from the death of Richard John Seddon, through the trauma of two world wars and social revolutions, right up to 2005 and the general election. From New Zealand's national collection of cartoons and caricatures, over 500 cartoons have been chosen to illuminate the political and social history of a century that has revolutionised life in New Zealand. The cartoons are clear, sometimes savage, sometimes funny, and a reflection of popular opinion at the time.
