Bishop Monrad in Aotearoa/New Zealand has been described as what will come to be known as the definitive publication about the Danish Prime minister and Lutheran Bishop Monrad's life and his legacy to New Zealand. The publication includes a major review of the background to and details of the priceless gift of etchings and engravings which are cared for and treasured at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. The section which traces the history of the Lutheran Church of New Zealand to the present day is a scholarly exposition of the Lutheran Confession and acknowledges the Monrad line right back to Martin Luther himself in the early 1500s.
