The Otago Central railway branched from the South Island Main Trunk at Wingatui and ran to Cromwell via Middlemarch, Ranfurly, Omakau, Alexandra and Clyde. The line was closed in 1990 but the taieri Gorge section continues to operate. In this third edition new material, maps and photographs have been added.
