There are 100 LMS or constituent locomotives in existence in the UK, including the Liverpool & Manchester Railway trio of early locomotives. Excluding these tyree, Rocket, Sans Pareil and Lion, there are no less than 41 types represented, but three classes, comprising 18 Class 5s, 10 Fowler Class 3F 0-6-0Ts and seven Stanier Class 8Fs, make up over one-third of that total.
